" One of our successful moves for our growth was implementing the ‘Intern Model’. Many of you already hire interns in their companies, how do you think we do it differently, and how do you think the growth is booming. Let me tell you how I did what I did.
Few months ago (in 2022), we hired close to 10 interns, for design and video, for an internship. And it was one of our best decisions. As part of their internship, they got to work on various aspects of design and video production. We hired interns who had the ability to spread through niches, which was helping them explore and learn. As through their routine, each of them worked on various projects, from org level to specific products to various mediums, digital to printing. Each of them had the chance to work on each design niche on a routine basis. With mentors assigned for each of the interns, they get to work on designs with proper training and guidance.
Every week, each intern comes up with a presentation about any topic of their choice, to teach the rest of the interns, as part of the ‘Learning sessions’, which becomes an amazing platform for each of them to learn several new things.
Weekly ‘feedback meetings’ happen where all the interns and their mentors come together to share their work of the week, and get feedback about their works, this becomes a platform to take in constructive criticism, see the other intern’s works and learn from them.
Doing all of these, the interns not only learn and explore a lot in designs, they also find their niche and also don't undergo work pressure. They are given the platform to share their opinion, implement their ideas and collaborate with the employees as a team during various other presentations. Given the platform and space to unleash the interns as well, invariably becomes a growth for the team as well as the company. Don't you agree? "
